También en CD. 2009 The research reported here is part of a broader study which addressed the issue of the role of cultural factors in foreign/second language (hereafter L2) reading. The specific aim of this report is to describe how L2 readers approached the cultural content of narrative texts through visual reformulations.  A visual reformulation can be defined as the visual representation of textual content including the combination of words, phrases, and/or sentences with visual information in different formats such as charts, tables, drawings, etc.
