1946: The launching of Buenos Aires avant-garde manifestos

The avant-garde scene was set up in Buenos Aires in 1946. Passionate debates and groundbreaking exhibitions took place amid polemic manifestos and leaflets flying around in Buenos Aires during the Second World War. The destruction caused by the European war relocated the avant-garde discussion to the shores of the Rio de La Plata. The goal of this presentation is to give a brief introduction to the Buenos Aires avant-garde movement of the 40s and to share with you some ideas about the ?Manifiesto Blanco? and the intertextualities in common with other manifestos and texts of the Buenos Aires abstract art scene.
