Resumen:
The aim of this paper is to present a didactic proposal to raise and develop intercultural awareness in Argentinian primary school learners in the learning of English as a Foreign Language. In order to achieve this goal, the principles underlying the intercultural approach are described as well as the main characteristics of the CLIL approach. After comparing the curricula corresponding both the English language and the Spanish language subjects, a didactic unit has been designed combining topics that belong to both subjects. The lesson plan, intended for sixth grade students, is based on a legend about an Argentinian tribe -the Aymaras- and includes activities that analyse the intercultural aspects and make students reflect upon their own. The present study is expected to enable teachers to devise strategies to work on the development of interculturality in their lessons.
