Palabras clave: Aprendizaje colaborativo - Representación social – Socioconstructivismo -Interacción sociocognitiva – Intersubjetividad – Cognición compartida COLLABORATIVE LEARNING THEORY AND SOCIAL REPRESENTATION THEORY: CONCERGENCES AND ARTICULATIONS SUMMARY This contribution deals with some links between CLT and SRT on the assumption that there is a conceptual identity between both perspectives. CLT is a meeting-point from several theoretical views on the sociocognitive processes involved in social-learning situations (learning together with others): cooperative learning theory, sociocognitive conflict theory, situated learning theory, distributed cognition theory and computer supported collaborative learning theory. All these theories assume that, in learning situations, knowledge is a social construction of meaning through the cognitive exchange between those that are involved in this collective work. In that way, knowledge is viewed as a socially shared cognition. The present contribution analyses some common traits of CLT and SRT as a consequence of this constructivist perspective assumed by both theories. Finally the paper focus on the intrinsic conflict between CLT and SRT concerning the conceptual change in educational settings. In one way it is clear that the conceptual change toward a scientific knowledge is an objective of all educational action, but it is true that this change is not easy because the resistance of learners to surmount the common sense supported by the socio-representational knowledge. Key words: Collaborative learning - Social representation - Socioconstructivism - Sociocognitive interaction – Intersubjectivity – Shared cognition
