"Writing Pegadogy: New Perspectives.” Anales del XIV Encuentro ENPULI de Profesores Universitarios de Lengua Inglesa: pp. 250-264. Universidad Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, 1999. This paper discusses the nature of writing. Implications for the classroom are explored and practical applications are suggested. The pedagogic proposal offered, based on interactive writing, cooperative writing in groups, and self-evaluation, is claimed to be educationally relevant. Considerations about the treatment of errors in an educational approach to writing are presented. An alternative embedded in the framework of portfolio assessment is inspected.
