NEOKIT and Y-TEC begin to export tests for COVID-19
After meeting the demands of the public health system and the local market, the national test has begun to be exported within the continent.
NEOKIT, a national company created by CONICET researchers at the Instituto Milstein and Laboratorio Pablo Cassará and Y-TEC, signed the agreement to export the test to detect COVID-19. The first batch of 7,000 will be delivered to Panama. The sales are planned to be expanded to other countries in the continent. Besides, the test has been recently allowed to be marketed in Canada.
This Argentine development, which is part of the actions taken by “Unit Coronavirus COVID-19” of the ‘Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation,’is available to fight the pandemic in the region, showing the potential of the local scientific and technological system to enter new markets.

NEOKIT-COVID 19 is a test for the early detection of Coronavirus. It is highly reliable, easy to use, economical and provides a rapid diagnosis. It is produced in the country through an agreement between NEOKIT, an Argentine company created by CONICET researchers at the Instituto Milstein, laboratorio Pablo Cassará and Y-TEC, the technological company of YPF and CONICET.
A month ago, the mass production and commercialization of the product satisfied the demands of the public health system and the private markets of the country. After that, it was possible to obtain the export permit given by the ‘National Ministry of Development.’
