Resumen:
The article aims to describe the ways in which young people experience citizenship in relation to conditions of environmental degradation (Curutchet et al., 2012) in the district of San Martín, Buenos Aires (Argentina). The hypothesis proposed is that the subjects problematize the effects of hyper-urbanization (Janoschka & Sequera, 2014a) such as precariousness situations (Butler, 2010), poverty, and environmental deterioration at the same time that they produce desires and struggles that work as counter-behaviors (Foucault, 2006) and/or ways of scape (Deleuze & Guattari, 2010) in the face of processes of social inequality. To do this, we will work with records resulting from the preparation of a project with students aged 17 and 18 in their sixth year of a secondary school located in a popular neighborhood conducted within the framework of a university outreach activity during 2021. The results show that the students question the environmental conditions of their neighborhoods that affect their rights as citizens, including that of schooling.
