Resumen:
Lipid extracted from bifidobacteria are composed by phosphatidylglycerol, cardiolipin and three glycolipids. The capacitance and resistance of lipid bilayers formed with the extract was compared with membranes composed by cardiolipin and phosphatidylcholines with increasing contents of glycolipids. The measurements were done by applying cyclic voltammetry to black lipid membranes formed on a Teflon septum and on monolayers spread on the interface of mercury drops. The mixtures composed by charged phospholipids and glycolipids showed values of capacitance and resistance around 3-4 times lower than those composed by neutral phospholipids. The comparison between membranes containing glycolipids composed by bi and trisaccharides indicated that trisaccharides derivatives were the components determining the values of capacitance and resistance of total extracts.
