Objetivo: Realizar una revisión y análisis de instrumentos y fundamentos teóricos que evalúen la regulación emocional en niños con el propósito de seleccionar el más adecuado para la población clínica abordada. Discusión: Los resultados obtenidos han permitido concluir que los instrumentos que utilizan historias son los más adecuados en población infantil. El instrumento de historias seleccionado para su adaptacion fue el de Zeman, 1996.
