La educación de los sentidos en la Argentina de Perón. El caso de la revista Noticioso y la cinematografía escolar

In the mid-twentieth century Argentina began to develop a strong state policy of educational cinema, thought of as an effective pedagogical method for the reproduction of ideology, simultaneously emancipatory and propagandistic. In the same way as other governments with different viewpoints, the presidency of Juan Domingo Perón was marked by a politics of image focused on educating the sensibilities of future generations of Argentines. In this case a particular policy was apparent, as seen in the journal Noticioso between 1952 and 1955, the analysis of which reveals the exponential growth of the state role, occupying a central place not only in the reproduction of educational cinema, but also in the filming, distribution and projection of the films. In short, with the creation in 1948 of the Departamento de Radioenseñanza y Cinematografía Escolar as an institution specifically dedicated to audiovisual education, and especially with the publication of Noticioso, it is possible to see a manifestation of governmental policies that Peronism forged for the formation of new citizens, within the framework of the so-called New Argentina.
