This book brings together the interdisciplinary research works of more than 30 national and international authors on the study of the material dimension of Spanish-American colonial art. It is the result of an international project under my direction subsidized by the Getty Foundation, which lasted almost 10 years. It is a pioneering publication in its specialty.
