Resumen:
In this paper, we present results of an exploratory and descriptive research carried out with mathematics teacher students, who experienced a training course. This course has the aim of introducing partially the students into the paradigm of research. One phase included in the methodology of the course demands to the mathematics teacher students to make didactic devices for the study of mathematics that fit into the current high school curriculum. Here we discuss the design of one didactic device proposed by the mathematics teacher students. The main results indicate that the students formulate a relatively generative question appropriate for teaching based on the research paradigm. However, they find difficult to explore and expand the question, thus, they reduce the scope of the proposal.
