Resumen:
This presentation considers the relation between the Meaningful Learning Theory (Ausubel, 1963, 1968; Novak, 1977; Moreira 2000) and the teacher-training in sciences around two questions: which would be the contribution of the Meaningful Learning Theory (MLT) to understand the processes of learning and conceptualization in teachers?, and what aspects of the MLT are essential to form, update and train educational professionals who promote Meaningful Learning? Some aspects, present in the theory from its beginning, and the importance of this referential for the construction of a theoretical frame that bases the professional task of the teacher are underlined.
