Resumen:
Study bacteria with probiotic potential that contain active CRISPR-Cas systems and explore the possibility of taking advantage of this natural immunization technology to provide the industry with a ´food-grade´ tool for the development of cultures improved in their phageresistance.No new acquisitions were observed. The activity of the Type IIA CRISPR system was higher in Lb. paracasei 906 than in Lb. paracasei 85. No activity of the CRISPR IE system was observed in the Lb. paracasei 85. Spacers located near the leader sequence produced stronger interference.Mutated spacers did not generate interference.
