CONICET president met the Education Secretary of Santa Fe
The objective of the meeting was to implement the “Scientific Vocations Promotion Programme”
Some days ago, the president of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), Dr. Alejandro Ceccatto, met Dr. Oscar Di Paolo, the Education Secretary of the province of Santa Fe, at the head office of the Council.
The president of the Council spoke about the event and commented: “we met in order to make some arrangements in the Science and Technology area of Santa Fe linked to the participation of the CONICET in training programmes for high school teachers. For this reason we reached a framework agreement within VocAr Programme.”
For his part, Di Paolo stated: “It is very important for us to meet with Dr. Ceccatto. We have been working with the two Scientific and Technological Centres of the province of Santa Fe so now we want to formalize this bond and make researchers participate in the scientific literacy programme of the province.”
Through VocAr Programme, the Council will promote the participation of scientists in activities such as the collaboration in the design and implementation of school science projects; expert advice on scientific topics for teachers; materials and/or designs for experiences; participation in scientific promotion activities, among others.
The meeting was attended by Patricia Maccagno, Agreements and Projects director, and Laura Noto, coordinator of VocAr Programme, both of CONICET.
