Resumen:
This chapter explores the association between knowledge and practice that takes place when young peasants are involved in productive agricultural activities in the countryside as part of family reproduction. I analyze fieldwork data from the Paranaense forest environment, exploring youth?s capabilities of connecting articulated information and tacit understandings about the world. Drawing from Ricoeur?s reflections on the originally linguistic condition of human experience (2006), I propose the concept of ?enskilled translations? to explore the associations young people make between their practical experiences and the production of verbally articulated knowledge about nature in rural contexts, related to their identifications as ?colonos? and claiming for a future linked to working the land.
