 To investigate arginine metabolism in Lactobacillus plantarum isolated from oranges. We determine that ADI pthway occurs in Lact. plantarum N4 and N8. The higher growth of the N4 strain than N8 could be related with the increased level in arginine consuption that conduce in ATP synthesis
