Resumen:
Polyporus tenuiculus is a poorly studied white rot basidiomycete. In this paper, we study the evolution of the lignocellulolytic activities Phenol oxidase (Lacasse) and Manganese Peroxidase (MnP) during its growth in liquid and on solid cultures (SSF). For the liquid cultures, we have used the defined M7 medium, and for the solid ones, wheat straw (WS) or poplar sawdust (PS). In the case of the liquid cultures, the effect of inducers extracted from natural growth substrates has been also studied. The results obtained from SSF indicated that the extractable laccase and MnP activities were higher in WS than in the PS cultures. The MnP activity was found during all the SSF cycle on PS extracts, whereas this activity was detected on WS only after 30 days of incubation. The use of WS water extracts to enhance the ligninolytic enzymes on liquid medium showed a  great increase in lacasse and MnP enzymes after its addition. The results obtained indicate that P. tenuiculus could be an interesting species with potential use in the lignocellolulytic enzymes production used for pulp and paper pretreatment and for biofuel industries. Also, the liquid medium induction offers an attractive system for the industrial production of enzymes.
