Resumen:
Joyce and Faulkner are two of the most relevant modernist writers in the English-speaking world. Their works reflect the many conflicts of twentieth-century individuals. This paper analyzes how the innovations at the level of technique or literary expression respond to a need both writers felt: that of expressing the world around them in relation to the hero, its context, and the ethical resonances involved in literature and life.
