Resumen:
The aim of this paper is to analyze the economic potential of community resources to labor incorporation of migrant population in Argentina. In particular, we focus on informal textile workshops; one of the main labor activities of Peruvian migrants in the labor market in Córdoba, Argentina, together with Bolivian migrants. The findings that we present here are principally based on a qualitative fieldwork we have made between 2012 and 2016 in peripheral neighborhoods in the city of Córdoba, composed of Peruvian migrants who have moved to the city during the last 15 years. We show that migrants who work at informal textile workshops face a precariousness and informality that goes through their every aspect of their lives.
