Resumen:
The sermon was a frequent Catholic media worldwide. Its purpose and structure, essentially formative, allowed incorporating information, especially at the beginning of the 19th century when ideas that were brewed in gatherings were publicly expressed from the pulpit. The preaching characteristics varied over time, which were adapted since the mid-18th century in a neoclassical style which led to beginning of the following to religious discourses. The "marks" that can be analyzed in the manuscripts show the close relationship that existed between the spoken word and writing, and the fundamental role of the concionador as an author and speaker of each piece of oratory.
