Resumen:
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is one the most aggressivesubtypes of mammary tumors. Flavonoids are polyphenolic compoundsthat cause several antineoplastic effects. We previouslydescribed that the synthetic flavonoid 2’-nitroflavone (2’NF) inhibitsviability, survival and migration of human TNBC cells. Herein, ouraim pointed to find out mechanisms that mediate 2’NF anti-tumoraleffects in these cells. We first evaluated MDA-MB-231 cell cycle progression(propidium iodide staining, flow cytometry) upon treatment.2’NF (5 mM, 72 h) decreased the percentage of cells in G1 phasefrom 59.30±1.63 (control) to 43.00±.2.29% (p
