Resumen:
In this contribution we deal within the usage of borrowed Spanish articles into two dialects of Paraguayan Guaraní: that spoken in Paraguay and that which is spoken in the Argentinean Province of  Corrientes. In Paraguayan Guaraní the usage of definite feminine Spanish "la" and definite plural "lo" (< Sp. "los") has been already attested (Gregores & Suárez 1967, Thun 2006). Borrowed articles in Correntinean Guaraní, on the other hand, shape a more complex repertoire: definite masculine "el", feminine "la", and definite plural "lo", as well as indefinites "uno" and "una". We offer here a comparative analysis of borrowed articles in both varieties.
