The purpose of this paper is to offer a preliminary characterization of the text type oral presentation of scientific literature. This text type is a common communicativa practice at universities to acquire and evaluate knowledge. It falls within the class known as academic discourse, a field rarely researched in spanish (...) The paper analyzes a number of theoretical aspects related to academic discourse and to the problems of describing text types within a typology.
