Abstract
The objective of this work is to present an adaptation of a test of reading
processes, call PROLEC (Cuetos, Rodriguez & Ruano, 2000) and a qualitative
analysis of texts inferenciales questions that measure the semantic process of
reading text understanding. For this the original version was reduced and
modifications of several tasks were generated. Initially, it was applied in a pilot test
the complete version of the instrument (N=60), students of first, second and third
year of primary basic education (EPB). With base in those results, modifications to
the instrument were realised and it was applied to 524 subjects of first, second and
third year of EPB. On these results analyses of trustworthiness and validity were
realised. The results indicate the importance of adapting this test to the evaluation
contexts in which it is applied and the necessity to consider the degrees of difficulty
of inferences that are realised during the understanding of a text.
Key Words: Redding process evalution adaptation - education.
