Sistematización de un Modelo Fenomenológico-Narrativo para el Análisis del Relato Autobiográfico en el Proceso Psicoterapéutico

We have proposed to describe, characterize and systematize the methodological model originally developed by Duero and Limón Arce (2007) for the analysis of autobiographical accounts. These authors propose a phenomenological-narrative model for the analysis of the thematic-structural and functional dimensions of this kind of stories. Based on this procedure, different narrative strategies and autobiographical styles have been identified in patients outside the psychotherapeutic field. These authors conclude that the way in which the content of each story has been organized and the way in which its coherence has been ensured are factors that determine the opening or closing of the story, conditioning its potential and its flexibility to incorporate experiences and new points of view of the narrator. This could have implications to understand the different moments of the psychotherapeutic process, being able to help identify elements linked to the change or the difficulties for it. In this article we are interested in systematizing this procedure, in order to facilitate the understanding and application of the model and discuss how it could be useful within the scope of psychotherapy research.
