This work presents a single-phase currentsource multilevel inverter controlled with a modified FCS-MPC scheme operating at constant switching frequency. The control strategy generates a current waveform with regularly spaced pulses which significantly reduces the spread of harmonic energy. The proposal maintains the good dynamic characteristics of predictive control and has no weighting factors. The controller objectives are the tracking of the output voltage and the current of the internal inductor. Simulation results are presented and comparisons withthe standard algorithm are shown.
