Resumen:
Frustration and the energy landscapes of repeat-proteinsNatural protein molecules fold, move and function according to theinformation encoded in their energy landscapes. For most architectures, thisinformation is still difficult to deconvolute from the linear sequence of aminoacids, as the energy contributions are small, numerous and distant. In contrast,repeat-proteins encode similar structural features in a quasi-linear way, facilitating the description, evaluation and evolution of their energylandscapes. I will present and discuss the application of statistical analysis ofstructural and genomic data to extract physically meaningful informationabout repeat-proteins' physiology.
