Resumen:
HCT presents low bioavailability, with a large variation in this parameter, ranging from 60% to 80%, which is relatively dose proportional. This variable oral bioavailability may be attributed to its poor solubility, slow dissolution and poor membrane permeability. Based on these characteristics it was proposed to study the in vitro HCT intestinal permeability. Also, it was investigated the effects of HCT on the intestinal epithelium since it was reported that HCT produces injuries on kidney epithelium.
