Resumen:
A new genus and species inthe South American sun-spider family Mummuciidae, Curanahuelaconcaguagen. nov.,sp. nov.,is herein described from Argentina. The new genus is known from twolocalities in the provinces of Mendoza and San Juan, both insertedinto the Cuyan High Andean biogeographic province. Among otherfeatures, this genus can be readily recognized from other mummuciidgenera because the ctenidia on the 3rdpost-genital sternite are very distinct, these being exceptionallythick in male and also notably thick in female. With thisdescription, Mummuciidae now consists of eight genera that gather 26known species.
