Resumen:
This brief proposes a PI controller based on passive theory to regulate the output voltage for a Buck converter, under variations of the input voltage and load. The proposed controller uses all the advantages of PI actions through the passive theory that guarantees asymptotic stability under Lyapunov?s theory. In addition, the proposed controller does not depend on the parameters of the Buck converter, which makes it robust to the uncertainties in their values. The performance of the proposed controller is tested via numerical simulation in MATLAB/Simulink as well as with experimental validations by comparing the proposed controller with a classical proportional control. The proposed controller shows a better performance in terms of response quality in comparison with the classical proportional control.
