Aquí $\mathcal{L}$ es una función de Caratheodory que satisface las siguientes condiciones de estructura

donde $Phi$ y $Psi$ son N-funciones complementarias, $\phi$ y $\psi$ sus derivadas, $a \in C(R^+;R^+)$, $b\inL^1$ y $c\inL^{\Psi}$.
Para garantizar la existencia de soluciones de dicho problema se estudian
las propiedades de la integral de acción
$I(\b{u})=\int_{0}^T \mathcal{L}(t,\b{u}(t),\b{\dot{u}}(t))\ dt$
En este trabajo se prueba que dicha integral I es diferenciable con deriva-
da continua.
Además, se demuestra que, bajo ciertas hipótesis, I es débil-mente semicontinua inferior y coerciva. A partir de estos resultados se puede garantizar la existencia de mnimo para I y luego, de soluciones para (1).
