Resumen:
Variations in the annual evapotranspiration, annual precipitation and normalized vegetation index annual average were analyzed for the 2000-2010 period in Argentina. From the time series of MODIS data and weather stations, we analyzed the temporal trend of these variables. The three variables considered exhibited generally decreasing trends. Significant negative trends were observed in annual precipitation and annual ET in the Pampa region and in the south and central Patagonia. The annual average NDVI also presented generalized negative trend in Argentina, except for an area on the west side of the country. Some sectors in the north and some areas of the Andean-Patagonian forests presented positive trends in ET. In turn, the NDVI showed positive trends on the west, mainly along the Andes, in a range of 100-200 km wide.
