Resumen:
Epigenetics is postulated to be the bridge between environment and phenotype. The aberrant methylation associated with tumorigenic processes could therefore present distinct profiles among different populations. Our analysis on 95 breast tumors of our country reveal that 92.6% present methylation of a CpG island located in the promoter region of WT1 gene and of antisense AS-WT1 gene.
