Resumen:
This paper proposes a dead time compensator based on a combination of the linear algebra controlmethodology (proposed by Scaglia, 2009) and an internal model structure (Smith predictor), to solveelevated dead time system problems. Moreover, the process transfer function of the nonlinear systemlinearized at some operation point is approximated by a second order plus dead time transfer function. Thecontroller performance is judged by simulations and it is evaluated using the ISE performance index. Wecompared this approach against a typical DTC-PID controller with improved results.
