Resumen:
The aim of this work is to show that z/w relationship considered by Wang (2010) , is also obtained with our data set, and we can also approximate that data with an decreasing exponential function at the same speed range of rotating wheel (Vx). Similar decay adjustment for the thickness (t) of the ribbon is proposed for the reported data by other authors. Both types of decay which are proposed, are due to decreasing the exponential type with Vx, and can be attributed to Newtonian cooling in the molten metal into a convective fluid medium such as atmospheric air. This z/w relationship allows to pose simplified 2D models with lower computational times associated.
