Resumen:
Non-stimulated human lymphocytes take up O2 and produce and release NO, O2-, and H2O2 at rates that are increased 2-3 fold by PMA addition. Stimulated lymphocytes triggered luminol chemiluminescence that was 91% inhibited by L-NMMA and SOD, identifying the generation of ONOO-. Basal and stimulated production of NO, and H2O2 by human lymphocytes may have a role in intercellular signaling.
