Resumen:
Readers? evaluation (experiment 1, n=21) and memory (experiment 2, n=54) of sources as a function of their descriptions (physical aspect, knowledge) and the consistency of their claims (consistent, discrepant) was examined. Participants read 16 texts containing two embedded sources. In Experiment 1, discrepant claims and knowledge descriptions affected the evaluation of source credibility. In Experiment 2, memory of the link between the source and her/his knowledgeability was higher, but only when claims were discrepant.
