Resumen:
This special issue is in honor of Professor Dr. Luis Diaz, who passed away on August 26th, 2014. He was full Professor and Director of the Department of Analytical and Physical Chemistry in the School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the University of Buenos Aires. Being professor for over 33 years, he was undoubtedly a great Professor and a fundamental source of inspiration for all of the ca. 500 students who took his courses every year from 1981 to 2014. In this first anniversary, with some of his colleagues of the University we propose this special issue in his memory. Most of the articles for this special issue are contributions from colleagues, collaborators, and students, who have felt honoured to be able to contribute to his memory.
