Resumen:
Abstract: So that the natural gas can be used, fundamentally like fuel, it is necessary to make a previous treatment. One of the processes involved is the so-called water and hydrocarbon dew point adjustment (dehydration and removing condensable respectively). These processes allow fulfilling the requirements specified by ENARGAS (Regulation National Organization of Gas in Argentina) specifications for the transport and use of natural gas. The natural gas dehydration is achieved by preventing the hydrate formation and pipe corrosion and the removal of heavy hydrocarbons by adjustment of heating value of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons recovering. This paper describes the development of stationary simulation, using commercial software ASPEN HYSYS, for natural gas dew point adjustment and parametric sensitivity analysis. A flow of natural gas, from sweetening treatment of an integrated plant corresponding to a typical natural gas of the Salta beds, is used. A flow sheet of the dehydration process using injection of triethylene glycol (TEG) as absorbent liquid and a chiller to condense heavy hydrocarbons is showed.
