Resumen:
In this work, catalytic behavior of TiO2 in photocatalytic reactions of the degradation of an organic dye widely used as an artificial dye (Tartrazine) was studied. Titanium oxide, which is obtained by using cyclohexane as an inert agent acting as dispersion medium of the reacting phases, was calcined at 300 °C and 500 °C, using heating rate of 2 ° C / min and 20 ° C / min. We evaluated the effects of initial catalyst concentration (0.1 and 0.2 g / L), calcination temperature and heating rate, and the concentration of tartrazine (2.10-5M and 4.10-5 M), on the photocatalytic behavior of the solid obtained. The results showed that the rate of degradation can be influenced by these operating parameters, except the heating rate.
