Resumen:
A great number of chemical and enzymatic reactions can be carried out on a solid support to facilitate the characterization in situ of the separated material by thin layer chromatography. This is a paper chromatography technique which involves the phenomenon of non-covalent interaction of the sample, where the molecules are attached to the support through intermolecular forces, with the variant of being able to develop several reactions simultaneously. We developed reactions on solid support of cellulose, Claisen-Schmidt reaction between cyclohexanone and benzaldehyde in basic medium for the synthesis of 2,6-dibenzylidene-cyclohexanone and aldolic reaction between acetone with benzaldehyde in basic medium, to prepare 4-hydroxy-4-phenyl-butanone. The isolated products can be identified by thin layer chromatography, 1H-NMR and IR spectroscopy and also compared to those obtained by the traditional method in solution.
