Resumen:
Waterborne polyurethanes (WBPUs) do not require theuse of organic volatile compounds for its dispersion, therefore they stand as a green alternative forreplacing traditionally used polyurethanes dispersed inorganic volatile solvents. However, their lowerthermal stability, and mechanical performance incomparison with those of solvent based-PUformulations have lead to the search for new strategiesto modify and improve these properties. In this sense, nanoparticles and specifically, those who are sensitiveto an external magnetic field are part of a newgeneration of materials with varied potentialapplications. The aim of this work, is to investigate thenanostructure and resulting properties of magneticnanocomposites prepared from a polycaprolactone(PCL) based WBPU loaded with magnetitenanoparticles (MNPs).
