Resumen:
Synthesisand Characterization of Carboxylic Acid Containing MetallocorrolesNicolásI. Neuman,Santiago E. Vaillard, Fabio DoctorovichGrupode Química Fina, Instituto de Desarrollo Tecnológico para laIndustria Química, INTEC, UNL-CONICET, Ruta N 168 S/N, Paraje ElPozo, S3000ZAA Santa Fe, ArgentinaMetallocorrolesare interesting porphyrinoids with applications in many branches ofcatalysis, due to their ability to stabilize high formal metaloxidation states. The inclusion of carboxylic acid groups in thecorrole meso-phenyl substituents allows solubilization of thesecorroles in aqueous solutions, covalent attachment to polymers ormetal-oxide surfaces, and if the carboxylic groups are oriented nearthe metal site, acceleration of catalytic reaction rates in chemicalreactions involving exchange of protons. In this work we describe thesynthesis of corroles containing para- or ortho-carboxyphenylsubstituents of A3-type,together with A2B-typecorroles which also include para-nitrophenyl substituents. We alsoanalyze their spectroscopic properties and the effects ofsubstituents on their electronic structure. p { margin-bottom: 0.1in; direction: ltr; line-height: 120%; text-align: left; }
