Resumen:
The problem of drug administration in therapeutictreatments of the human immunodeficiency virus is studiedby means of impulsive zone model predictive control (iZMPC).Two strategies are presented. The first one is a zone MPCbased on a linear impulsive characterization of the system andprovides an efficient and easy-to-apply way to find the propertherapeutic treatments. The second one, which is devoted toovercome the often large plant-model mismatches, is based ona novel nonlinear impulsive prediction scheme. Both proposalsare tested and the results appear to be satisfactory as long asthe medical goals of the treatment are achieved, which alsoshows that these impulsive schemes have a great potential inthe developing of therapeutic strategies.
