Resumen:
In the present work, different indoor photocatalytic paints were formulated employing for each one diverse amounts of a TiO2 powder commercially available which presents activity under visible light. These paints were illuminated with an ordinary fluorescent light and photocatalytic degradation of acetaldehyde, a representative VOC of indoor air, was assessed. Humidity and incident radiation level were varied during the study. An 84% of degradation was achieved with the paint that contains the maximum TiO2 powder amount, a 100% of illumination and the lowest humidity. On the other hand a near zero percent of conversion was measured for all the paints with the lowest incident radiation level.
