Resumen:
Bisphenol A (BPA) was degraded photocatalytically by two different TiO2 catalysts: the commercial catalysts TiO2 Degussa P25 and Kronos vlp 7000. The last catalyst has been modified to be activated at wavelengths above 400 nm. Both catalysts were investigated under different conditions of irradiation (UV, visible and UV + visible). The highest conversions of BPA were obtained using UV + visible radiation. Also, the commercial catalyst Kronos vlp 7000 showed the highest activity in the visible region. Additionally, in order to compare the efficiency of both catalysts, the apparent photonic efficiency was evaluated. The best apparent photonic efficiencies were obtained under UV radiation.
