Resumen:
Functionalized latex particles (FLP) are normally applied for diagnosis and therapeutics purposes and, in particular, the interest in colored FLP is rising in areas such as biomedical and research. The synthesis, characterization and application of FLP with a new colored monomer is here considered, in a simple and fast manner, and at low cost. Synthesis variables were controlled to obtain particles of different size, surface charge and color incorporation. Then, particles were proved in protein binding assays; and the development of an immunochromatographic test was successfully performed.
