Resumen:
An exact analytic solution to the kinematic problem of motion of a free rigid body submitted to an external torque and an arbitrary initial angular speed was recently presented by Romano [9,10]. In this paper, we are presenting some corrections to the equations developed by Romano and a validation of these analytic solutions by comparison with solutions obtained by numerical time integration.
