Resumen:
The comparison between InHM and LaInHM afterreaction conduces to speculate that the exchangedlanthanum into the InHM catalyst protects the structurefrom the dealumination process. But the presence ofthis rare earth leads to a particular interaction with theindium active sites that would not improve the activity. This hypothesis is clearly evidenced by the XPSresults where the concentration of (InO)+ in LaInHMis lower than in the InHM catalyst. The last fact thatcooperates with the LaInHM lower activity is theobstruction of mordenite channels due to the complexion exchange process.
